Wednesday's game against district leader Coppell on Wednesday night was a heartbreaker. The game was a pitching duel deep into the game between Sophomore Carra Cleaves and Coppell's starting pitcher.

The scorekeepers were busy today during a high scoring contest between Lewisville and Plano West where the Wolves fell 12 to 6. Plano West got the early lead in the first with an RBI by Senior Jamie Cendana. Lewisville jumped ahead in a rough third inning for the Wolves, and the Wolves were unable to recover.

Plano West defeated Plano Senior 8 to 5 in their first of 2 district match ups for the year. The Wolves jumped ahead with one run in the first inning and never lost the lead.

Plano West fell behind early in their 8 to 2 loss to Hebron on Saturday. The game had been moved from Friday due to weather. The Wolves struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hebron, giving up eight runs.

Entering the game as the underdog, the Wolves delivered a blow to undefeated Flower Mound Marcus, winning in a nail-biter of a game 3 to 2. Plano West jumped out early, scoring all three of their runs in the first inning. With Junior Adayah Wallace on second, Senior Catie Kim laid down a beautiful sacrifice bunt that drove the speedy Wallace all the way into home. Runs two and three came from a long ball over the left field fence by Freshman Kaaya Mehta, bring in Junior Brooke Hilton who had doubled.
Early Lead for Plano West Sets Stage for Victory Over East

Plano West defeated Plano East 10 to 5 in the first of two West vs. East showdowns for the season, thanks to a strong start. Facing 3 runs in the first and another 3 in the second, Plano East couldn't mount a comeback.
Coppell Defeats Resilient Plano West

Despite a 6-run deficit in the third inning, Plano West almost came all the way back, despite eventually falling 8 to 6 to Coppell on Saturday. The Wolves tallied five runs in the failed comeback. Senior Catie Kim rallied the Wolves with 3 RBIs. Junior Brooke Hilton and Sophomore Carra Cleaves each drove in one, but unfortunately, they were not enough.

Plano West fell behind early and couldn't climb back in a 13-2 loss to Lewisville in the Wolves first game of district play. The Wolves struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lewisville, giving up 13 runs.

Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, the Wolves defeated the Grand Prairie Gophers 8-5 in their first game on Friday. The big inning for the Gophers came on two singles, a walk, and an error. But the Wolves roared back and pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning.
Wolves Lose a Close One to Southlake Carroll

Plano West stayed in it until the end, but Caroll pulled away late in a 3-2 victory in the Wolves' second game of the Turf Wars tournament. The game was tied at two with Carroll batting in the bottom of the sixth. The Dragons tripled, scoring one run just before time expired in the game. The pitching was strong for both teams. Carroll pitchers struck out four, while Plano West pitchers sat down three.

The Wolves fell behind early and couldn't make it back in a 13-1 loss to Timber Creek in their first game of the Turf Wars Tournament. Timber Creek got on the board quick with two runs in each of the first two innings.

Nothing came easy to Plano West on Saturday as the fell 13-3 to Lubbock Monterey HS. While each team scored one run in the first inning, Lubbock Monterey pulled away for good with 12 runs in the second inning.

A walk-off left Plano West on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Hallsville High on Friday. Down 4-3 in the last inning, Hallsville doubled, scoring two runs to win the game. The Wolves lost despite out-hitting Hallsville nine to six.

Plano West watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-3 loss to Rockwall HS on Friday. Rockwall got things moving in the first inning with a double in the first inning on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. The Rockwall Lady Jackets scored five more runs in the second inning.

It came down to the last play, but Plano West was on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to Forney on Tuesday night. Forney trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning when their batter homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. The Wolves lost despite out-hitting Forney seven to six.

The Plano West Wolves watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-1 loss to Bowie (Austin) on Saturday. Bowie scored on a single in the first inning. The Wolves struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bowie, giving up 9 runs.

In their third game of the annual Bowie-Westlake Tournament, Plano West defeated Westlake High. Sophomore Carra Cleaves was strong in the circle, striking out nine to keep Westlake hitters stifled. The Wolves fired up the offense in the second inning when Junior Adayah Wallace doubled, driving in two runs.
Wolves Defeat Austin High

In their second tournament game of the day, the Wolves handily defeated Austin High School 11 to 4. Plano West jumped to a quick start, scoring three runs in the first inning. Two of the runs came in off of a triple by Senior Jamie Cendana. Freshman Kaaya Mehta singled to drive in the third run of the inning. Austin High battled back in their at bat, scoring three runs of their own with three hits and an error.
Plano West Wolves Grab Lead in Third Inning for Victory Over Hays HS

Varsity Wolves Softball stole the lead in the third inning with a 12-6 victory over Hays High School out of Buda, Texas. Entering the third, Plano West was down 4 to 1. They tied the game and then Freshman Elyse Mikes drew a walk, scoring a run. The Wolves scored a total of 9 runs that inning to take the lead 9 to 4.
Plano West Victorious Over McKinney in Season Opener

In their 2022 season opener, Sophomore Carra Cleaves didn't feel much like getting out on Tuesday, tallying four hits and leading the Wolves to a 11-5 win over McKinney High. Cleaves singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and then swung for two more doubles in the seventh as the Wolves batted around.
