Wolves Struggle to Find Groove Against Lubbock Monterey

Nothing came easy to Plano West on Saturday as the fell 13-3 to Lubbock Monterey HS. While each team scored one run in the first inning, Lubbock Monterey pulled away for good with 12 runs in the second inning.


Monterey's winning pitcher went two innings. allowing two runs on two hits, striking out three and walking one. Their reliever threw two innings out of the bullpen. Freshman Marlee Flanigan took the loss for Plano West, surrendering none runs on ten hits over three innings.


Senior Jamie Cendana led the Wolves on offense. She went 2 for 2 at the plate with two singles.
