Wolves Can't Catch Up to Hebron

Plano West fell behind early in their 8 to 2 loss to Hebron on Saturday. The game had been moved from Friday due to weather. The Wolves struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hebron, giving up eight runs.

 

Plano West was first on the board in the first inning, but Hebron jumped ahead with 4 runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. The Wolves added another run in the second, but despite threats in several innings, they couldn't manage to score again.

 

In the circle, Hebron's pitcher allowed 7 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings, striking out 6 and walking none. Freshman Izzy Dunn took the loss for the Wolves, but making a good showing for her first time in the circle this year. She gave up 12 hits and struck out 3, also pitching a complete game.

 

Dunn also lead the team in offense, going 2 for 3 at the plate. Other hits came from Senior Adayah Wallace, Senior Catie Kim, Junior Brooke Hilton, Senior Jamie Cendana, and Freshman Kaaya Mehta. The Wolves are 2 and 4 in district play.
