Wolves Beat Plano Senior in First Match Up of the Season

Plano West defeated Plano Senior 8 to 5 in their first of 2 district match ups for the year. The Wolves jumped ahead with one run in the first inning and never lost the lead.

The Wolves biggest inning of 3 runs came in the fourth with RBIs by Senior Adayah Wallace, Freshman Elyse Mikes, and Senior Natalie Morris. Overall, Plano West had 8 hits in the game. Wallace, Senior Izzy Artnak, and Mikes all managed multiple hits for the team. Wallace led the offense, going 3 for 3 at the plate.

Sophomore Carra Cleaves earned the win for the Wolves in the circle. She went the full 7 innings, allowing seven hits and striking out 3. Senior Catie Kim ended the game on a hard throw to surprise a Plano Senior runner for the last out. Plano West is now 3 and 4 in district play.
