Plano West fell behind early and couldn't climb back in a 13-2 loss to Lewisville in the Wolves first game of district play. The Wolves struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lewisville, giving up 13 runs.

Lewisville got things started in the first inning, scoring on a double and a groundout in the first inning. But it was the six runs in the second inning that sealed the deal. Over the course of the game, Lewisville tallied two home runs, a long ball in the fourth and one in the fifth. Sophomores Carra Cleaves and M.C. Pollacia each pitched two innings, with Cleaves taking the loss in the circle.

On offense, Plano West only managed four hits. Senior Katie Kim led the Wolves at the plate going 2 for 2. The other hits came from Cleaves and Senior Izzy Artnak. Cleaves drove in one of the run for the Wolves and Freshman Elyse Mikes drove in the other with a sacrifice fly. The Wolves are at it again on Friday.
