Beetle Nell Leads Plano West Varsity Wolves Past Rock Hill Varsity Blue Hawks

Beetle Nell collected three hits in four at bats, as Plano West Varsity Wolves defeated Rock Hill Varsity Blue Hawks 9-4 on Friday. Nell doubled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third inning.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two doubles. Plano West Varsity Wolves first got on the board when Abby Jennings doubled, scoring one run.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Abby Cuellar singled to center field, and Rock Hill Varsity Blue Hawks committed an error, each scoring one run.

 

Kendall Prowell earned the win for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The pitcher surrendered 10 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking three. Madilynn Grossman took the loss for Rock Hill Varsity Blue Hawks. The pitcher went seven innings, surrendering nine runs (seven earned) on 13 hits, striking out six and walking two.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves tallied 13 hits in the game. Nell and Cuellar each collected three hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Prowell and Brooke Reasoner each collected multiple hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Plano West Varsity Wolves turned one double play in the game.
