Brooke Reasoner Powers Plano West Varsity Wolves Past Princeton Varsity Lady Panthers

Brooke Reasoner hit two home runs and drove in six as Plano West Varsity Wolves defeated Princeton Varsity Lady Panthers 16-0 on Friday. Reasoner homered in the sixth and fifth innings.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves were the first to get on the board in the first when Lola Brown drew a walk, scoring one run.

 

A double by Reasoner extended the Plano West Varsity Wolves lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves added six more runs in the top of the fifth inning on four hits. Reasoner hit a solo home run to left field, Whitney Flanigan doubled, scoring one run, Aderes Villela laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Abby Jennings singled, scoring two runs.

 

Seven more Plano West Varsity Wolves runs crossed the plate in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 16-0. Villela drew a walk, scoring one run, Abby Cuellar drew a walk, scoring one run, Jennings drew a walk, scoring one run, and Reasoner hit a grand slam to left field.

 

Kendall Prowell earned the win for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking two. #11 took the loss for Princeton Varsity Lady Panthers. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking four.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves collected 12 hits in the game. Beetle Nell, Flanigan, Jennings, and Brown each collected multiple hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Villela led Plano West Varsity Wolves with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Jennings stole two bases. Plano West Varsity Wolves were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Reasoner had the most chances in the field with seven.

 

Paityn Athey went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Princeton Varsity Lady Panthers in hits. Princeton Varsity Lady Panthers turned one double play in the game.
