Brooke Reasoner Drives 5 Runners Home In Plano West Varsity Wolves Victory Over McKinney Varsity Lions

 

Brooke Reasoner drove in five runs on two hits to lead Plano West Varsity Wolves past McKinney Varsity Lions 16-1 on Thursday. Reasoner hit a home run to center field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the second inning, scoring two.

 

McKinney Varsity Lions were the first to get on the board in the first when Izzy Perez laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Reasoner that drove in three.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves added two runs in the second. Reasoner doubled to center field, making the score 8-1.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves scored eight runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Emily Beam induced Whitney Flanigan to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Amber Carrillo drew a walk, scoring one run, Aderes Villela singled, scoring one run, Kendall Prowell singled, scoring two runs, Abby Jennings doubled, scoring two runs, and Beetle Nell singled, scoring one run.

 

Emma Kesler earned the win for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The starter surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Beam took the loss for McKinney Varsity Lions. The starter went three innings, surrendering 16 runs (15 earned) on 13 hits, striking out two and walking four.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves accumulated 13 hits in the game. Jennings went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Plano West Varsity Wolves in hits. Prowell and Carrillo each collected multiple hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves.

 

Callie Green, Leyla Molina, and Molly True each collected one hit for McKinney Varsity Lions.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves will travel to Allen Varsity Eagles for their next game on Tuesday.
