Brooke Reasoner Drives 5 Runners Home In Plano West Varsity Wolves Victory Over McKinney Boyd Varsity Broncos

Brooke Reasoner drove in five runs on three hits to lead Plano West Varsity Wolves past McKinney Boyd Varsity Broncos 15-4 on Saturday. Reasoner doubled in the sixth scoring three, doubled in the first scoring one, and hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth scoring one.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves scored eight runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory.  Lola Brown doubled, scoring one run, Whitney Flanigan singled, scoring one run, Kendall Prowell singled, scoring one run, Abby Cuellar singled, scoring one run, Abby Jennings singled, scoring one run, and Reasoner doubled, scoring three runs.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves got on the board in the first inning after Reasoner doubled, scoring one run.

 

A single by Matilda Lilja extended the Plano West Varsity Wolves lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Brown doubled to right field, and Flanigan singled to center field, each scoring one run.

 

Kaylee McGilvray homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for the McKinney Boyd Varsity Broncos.

 

Emma Kesler earned the win for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The starter allowed three hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking none. Zoie Beard took the loss for McKinney Boyd Varsity Broncos. The hurler went three innings, surrendering five runs on nine hits, striking out none and walking two. Prowell pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Plano West Varsity Wolves in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

 

Plano West Varsity Wolves tallied 18 hits in the game. Reasoner and Brown each collected three hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Prowell, Amber Carrillo, Flanigan, Jennings, and Cuellar each collected multiple hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Plano West Varsity Wolves turned one double play in the game.

 

McGilvray went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Josie Knight went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead McKinney Boyd Varsity Broncos in hits.
