Plano West Varsity Wolves Falls To Allen Varsity Eagles

Plano West Varsity Wolves could not keep up with Allen Varsity Eagles 10-5 on Tuesday.

 

Allen Varsity Eagles opened the scoring in the third after Harper Dennis hit a solo home run to center field.

 

Kendall Prowell grounded out, which helped Plano West Varsity Wolves tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.

 

Allen Varsity Eagles took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Claire McKeever homered to center field, Ady Fincanon doubled to right field, and Kate Bettge hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

 

Yaya Morgan earned the win for Allen Varsity Eagles. The starter gave up eight hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out one and walking two. Prowell took the loss for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out six and walking none.

 

Beetle Nell and Zoe Spicer each collected two hits for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Prowell led Plano West Varsity Wolves with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Plano West Varsity Wolves were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brooke Reasoner made the most plays with eight.

 

Allen Varsity Eagles tallied 12 hits in the game. Fincanon and Ashtyn Kotaska were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Allen Varsity Eagles while hitting back-to-back. Fincanon and Kotaska were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Allen Varsity Eagles. Alyssa Jackson collected two hits for Allen Varsity Eagles in three at bats. Addie King stole two bases.
