Plano West Varsity Wolves Stymied By Allen Varsity Eagles

Plano West Varsity Wolves had trouble keeping up with Allen Varsity Eagles in an 11-0 loss on Tuesday.
 
Allen Varsity Eagles jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Ashtyn Kotaska singled, scoring two runs, and Kate Bettge hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
 
Allen Varsity Eagles added one run in the second. Kotaska singled down the left field line, making the score 4-0.
 
Allen Varsity Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to left field by Alyssa Jackson.
 
Yaya Morgan earned the win for Allen Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two. Kendall Prowell took the loss for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The starting pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) on 14 hits, striking out three and walking four.
 
Prowell led Plano West Varsity Wolves with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position.
 
Allen Varsity Eagles amassed 14 hits in the game. Claire McKeever and Kotaska were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Allen Varsity Eagles while hitting back-to-back.
