Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves Falls To Prosper

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves could not keep up with Prosper 8-4 on Thursday.

 

Prosper got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Alex Jones walked, and Delaney Moody singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the second when Layney Conner singled, scoring one run, Ivana Farias singled, scoring one run, and Brynley Reeves doubled, scoring two runs.

 

Prosper tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Peyton Smuda, and a ground out by Bailey Anderson.

 

Prosper jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Eva Gassaway singled, scoring one run, Avery Sicat doubled, scoring two runs, and #2 grounded out, scoring one run.

 

Ava Fuquay stepped in the circle first for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The pitcher gave up nine hits and eight runs (seven earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two. Jones stepped in the circle first for Prosper. The hurler surrendered nine hits and four runs over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three.

 

Reeves provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Chloe Chidziva led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with three hits in three at bats.

 

Sicat and #2 were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Prosper. Sicat led Prosper with two runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Prosper didn't commit a single error in the field. Anderson had the most chances in the field with four.
