Ivana Farias’s Big Day Propels Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves Past Plano East
Ivana Farias collected three hits in three at bats, as Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves defeated Plano East 12-1 on Tuesday. Farias singled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning.
Plano East got on the board in the first inning after a steal of home scored one run.
Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Layney Conner tripled, Kayla Johnson walked, Sadie Kilmer singled, and Penny Peterson walked, each scoring one run.
A single by Ava Fuquay, a single by Kilmer, and a steal of home by Brynley Reeves helped Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves extend their early lead in the second.
Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Farias singled, Reeves walked, Kate Hatfield walked, and Johnson walked, each scoring one run.
Fuquay led things off in the circle for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The hurler gave up zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking three.
