Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves Defeat McKinney On Multiple Hit Performance By Ava Fuquay

Ava Fuquay collected three hits in three at bats, as Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves defeated McKinney 7-4 on Thursday. Fuquay hit a home run in the third inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves got on the board in the first inning after Fuquay doubled, scoring one run.

 

McKinney captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when #10 singled, scoring one run, #5 singled, scoring one run, and #22 doubled, scoring two runs.

 

Fuquay homered, scoring two runs in the top of the third for the Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves.

 

In the top of the fourth inning, Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves went back into the lead after Sydney Turano walked, Fuquay singled down the left field line, Kate Hatfield tripled to center field, and Kayla Johnson tripled to center field, each scoring one run.

 

Turano opened the game for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one. Fuquay tossed one inning of no-run ball for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves in relief. The hurler allowed two hits, striking out one and walking three.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves tallied 11 hits in the game. Layney Conner and Johnson each collected multiple hits for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. Conner stole three bases. Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game.
