Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves Lose To Plano East

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves lost to Plano East 7-5 on Tuesday.

 

A single by Lola Brown put Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves on the board in the top of the first.

 

Plano East took the lead in the bottom of the first. #1 homered to center field, scoring three runs, to give Plano East the edge, 3-1.

 

Plano East committed an error, which helped Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves tie the game at three in the top of the second.

 

Plano East jumped into the lead in the bottom of the second when #15 singled, scoring one run, #18 singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

 

#8 earned the win for Plano East. The starter surrendered four hits and five runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Ava Fuquay took the loss for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The starting pitcher went one and one-third innings, giving up seven runs (four earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking four.

 

Emma Kesler led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup.  Brown led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with two hits in two at bats.

 

#1 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Plano East with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-1 on the day. #18, #5, #1, and #15 each collected one hit for Plano East.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves will travel to Plano for their next game on Tuesday.
