Runs Hard To Come By In Plano West Varsity Wolves Win Versus Allen
 
Both teams were strong in the circle on Tuesday, but Plano West Varsity Wolves defeated Allen 3-2. Marlee Flanigan started the game for Plano West Varsity Wolves and recorded 21 outs.
 
A tag up by King put Allen on the board in the top of the first.
 
Brooke  Reasoner singled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped Plano West Varsity Wolves tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
 
A single by Isabella Dunn gave Plano West Varsity Wolves the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second.
 
Wright singled down the right field line, which helped Allen tie the game at two in the top of the third.
 
Plano West Varsity Wolves took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Kendall Prowell singled, scoring one run, to give Plano West Varsity Wolves the advantage, 3-2.
 
Flanigan earned the win for Plano West Varsity Wolves. The pitcher gave up six hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking four. Wright took the loss for Allen. The starter went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two.
 
Plano West Varsity Wolves's Andrea Carrillo, the number seven hitter, led Plano West Varsity Wolves with two hits in two at bats. Prowell, Reasoner, and Dunn each drove in one run for Plano West Varsity Wolves. Plano West Varsity Wolves turned one double play in the game.
 
King set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Allen with two hits in four at bats. Wright and Fincanon were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Allen.
 
Plano West Varsity Wolves will travel to Princeton for their next game on Friday.
