Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves bested Plano 8-6 on Tuesday.

 

Plano SH were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored three runs.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the first after Aderes Villela doubled, scoring two runs, Ava Fuquay tripled, scoring one run, and Kate Hatfield grounded out, scoring one run.

 

#14 doubled down the left field line following a 9-pitch at-bat, which helped Plano tie the game at four in the top of the second.

 

In the bottom of the third, Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves broke up the tie when Fuquay was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Then a double by Hatfield followed to extend the lead to 8-4.

 

Fuquay earned the win for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The righty surrendered zero hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking six. #3 took the loss for Plano. The reliever went one inning, allowing four runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out one and walking three. Emma Kesler led things off in the circle for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and four runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking three. #8 stepped in the circle first for Plano. The pitcher gave up four hits and four runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking none.

 

Hatfield led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Zoe Spicer went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves in hits.

 

#10 and #14 each collected one hit for Plano. #9, #14, and #2 each drove in one run for Plano. Plano had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. #14 and #2 led the team with two free passes each. Plano were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. #10 had the most chances in the field with three.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves will travel to McKinney for their next game on Friday.
