Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves Survive Allen Eagles 

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves built a 5-run lead in the third inning and then held off Allen Eagles- JV Wolves charge for an 8-7 victory on Tuesday. Allen Eagles- JV White closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, an error, an error, and a single.

 

Allen Eagles- JV White got on the board in the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run.

 

Zoe Spicer grounded out, which helped Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves made the score 5-1 in the bottom of the second after an error scored one run, an error scored one run, and Spicer doubled, scoring two runs.

 

Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves added one run in the third after Allen Eagles- JV White committed an error.

Sadie Kilmer singled down the right field line, which helped Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves tie the game at seven in the bottom of the fifth.

 

Emma Kesler earned the win for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. The hurler gave up eight hits and seven runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Aaliyah Torres took the loss for Allen Eagles- JV White. The righty went four innings, giving up eight runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking three.

 

Matilda Lilja, Aubrie Bowden, Lola Brown, Ava Fuquay, Aderes Villela, Spicer, and Kilmer each collected one hit for Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves. Spicer led Plano West Junior Varsity Wolves with three runs batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day.

 

Martin led Allen Eagles- JV White with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The third baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Zoey Johnson, Alecia Gatlin, and Martin each collected two hits for Allen Eagles- JV White.
