Wolves Tie Sherman Bearcats

Following a back-and-firth game, Plano West managed to salvage a tie to end their second tournament game of the day.

The game was tied 1-1 at the end of the first, but Plano West took the lead in the top of the third with a ground out RBI by Sophomore Abby Jennings. The Wolves took the lead in the top of the third with another ground out, this one by Junior Elyse Mikes and scoring two runs.

Sherman came roaring back in the fourth to take the lead 6-3. They scored four runs on a walk, a double, and three singles. Plano West then scored in the fifth with Junior Ally Martin crossing the plate on a wild pitch. West tied the game in the sixth with a single from Sophomore Brooke Reasoner, a triple from Junior Izzy Dunn, and a wild pitch.

Senior Carra Cleaves began the game for the Wolves in the circle. She allowed four hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out two. Junior Marlee Flanigan pitched the next three innings to finish out the game.

The Wolves have two tournament games on Friday.
