The Wolves played their final game of the Allen tournament on Saturday, losing to a tough Lone Star team 7-3. Lone Star scored early, putting two runs up on a single in the first inning, and later added on insurance runs that Plano West couldn't recover from.

Plano West managed only six hits in the game, with three coming from Sophomore Abby Jennings in her three plate appearances. The Wolves were strong in the field though, tallying only one error and turning two double plays.

Senior Carra Cleaves started in the circle and was credited with the loss after two innings, striking out four and walking two. Junior Marlee Flanigan pitched four innings in relief, striking out two of her own and walking only one.

Plano West finished 3-2 in the tournament. Regular season play starts at home next Tuesday against Melissa.
