Early Jump Leads to Victory Over Forney

Plano West jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first inning with four runs that Forney couldn't recover from. Junior Elyse Mikes homered over the centerfield wall, scoring two runs. Additional RBIs came from a double by Sophomore Abby Jennings. Mikes drove in an insurance run in the top of the second with a single.

Senior MC Pollacia earned the win in the circle for the Wolves, pitching a complete game while striking out five and walking four. In the field, the Wolves played a clean game with no errors and turned one double play. Mikes and Junior Kaaya Mehta were a force together at the plate, each with multiple hits.
