Tough Loss to Leander

In their final game of the Comal-Wurst Tournament, undefeated Plano West battled undefeated Leander; and West suffered a tough loss.

The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the first inning. But Leander flipped the game on its head in the third, scoring 10 runs in a strong offensive run. Senior MC Pollacia started in the circle for the Wolves, allowing four hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings. Senior Carra Cleaves entered in relief, giving up four hits and seven runs (two earned). Defensively, Plano West committed a season-high four errors.

Still, Plano West finished the Comal-Wurst Tournament with a solid 5-1 record. They head to the Allen Tournament next week.
