Wolves Lose Close One to Hebron

Plano West watched the game slip away with an early run by Hebron and couldn't recover in a 3-1 loss on Saturday. The pitching was strong on both sides. Hebron's pitcher struck out nine and allowed only 3 hits. Junior Carra Cleaves gave up five hits and walked only one in a complete game.

Hebron got a jump on the Wolves in the first inning with one run scored on a single and then a second run in the second on an error. The Wolves put a run of their own on the board in the second with a solo home run in the second by Freshman Abby Jennings.

Other than the long ball and two singles, Plano West bats were uncharacteristically quiet for the day. Hits came from Jennings and Seniors Adayah Wallace and Brooke Hilton.

The Wolves slip to third in district play with a 4-2 record. They battle district leader Flower Mound next Tuesday at home.
