Wolves Fall to Allen Eagles in Wurst Tourney Opener

After a tight start, Plano West fell in their first game in the Wurst Comal County Tournament to the Allen Eagles. Tied at 1-1 after the first inning, the Eagles pulled away for good with three runs in the third. An error by West scored two of those runs.

The winning Eagles pitcher lasted six innings, allowing four hits, and one run while walking none. Sophomore Marlee Flanigan took the loss, but only allowing one hit and walking one in her two and third innings. Errors cost the Wolves the game.

The only four hits from the quiet Wolves bats came from senior Brooke Hilton, sophomores Izzy Dunn and Elyse Mikes, and freshman Abby Jennings.
